Sainte-Suzanne-et-Chammes is a very small (and beautiful!) village, so we have pre-reserved all available accommodations within walking distance of the wedding venue.
If you’d like to use one of these reserved places, let us know in your RSVP and we will provide the booking details.
Please note, while the accommodations are reserved, guests will need to pay for their stay directly.
If you prefer to stay outside the village, camp*, or make other arrangements, please let us know as well.
-
There are two camping options:
A larger campground that is a 16 minute walk to Le Manoir, with tent and camping car options.
For camping cars, right in the village:
Getting to the Village
-
We recommend flying to Charles-de-Gaulle airport (CDG Airport) in Paris.
If you are coming from Europe, there are nearby airports in Rennes and Tours.
-
Coming by car is a good idea if you plan to stay outside the village or if you want to explore the area or venture to places like Mont Saint-Michel, Chartres*, or Laval.
From Paris, the drive is approximately 3 hours.
*Chartes Cathedral is directly en route from Paris to the wedding! A recommended pit stop!
-
Take the train from Paris to either:
Évron (recommended) - and from there go by taxi. More info on the taxi coming soon.
or Le Mans - and from there rent a car.
***If you are taking the train from Paris CDG or Austria/Germany, keep in mind that it takes more time to go from Gare de l’Est to Gare Montparnasse than google maps says! Konsti and I both alsmost missed our trains on separate occassions!

Gifts
Your presence is the gift!
We know it’s not easy to travel all the way to a small village in France, so really we do not expect gifts.
If you’d like to give something, we would be so grateful for a contribution to our honeymoon! We’re planning to go to Sardinia in the early fall.
FAQs
-
Please RSVP by March 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount and so that we reserve enough rooms!
-
End of July tends to be summery and sunny, with highs averaging 77°F / 25°C and lows averaging 56°F / 13°C. That being said, this past summer was remarkably cold!
We recommend bringing layers and clothes suitable for any kind of weather. It is definitely possible that it could be as cold as 40°F / 4°C or as hot as 95°F /35°C! -
The wedding festivities will be outdoors (except for the civil ceremony). If the weather isn’t great then we will move everything inside.
-
Whatever feels right to you!
-
The village is full of cobblestone streets, and the driveway to the house is also very uneven, so stilettos would not be an optimal choice! Flats, chunky heels, sandals, etc. would be much more comfortable.
So, what do you say?
Are you coming?
Let us know by March 1!
Alles liebe,
